Within the Modem IP Unit this Development Centre is working with LTE and 3G UMTS technologies for future mobile phone generations. The Unit is creating mobile phone prototypes and products to strengthen the position of ST-Ericsson‘s Access and System technologies and its interface towards the market.
NS Dev Test Nuremberg (L3M/LP/SW/V) is the competence center for methods, procedures, test tools and test execution in order to secure the NS Software quality. NS-Dev Test wants to lead the activities to secure the quality of the LTE NS Software and participate into securing the quality of the NS SW in WCDMA and IRAT.

Die Position
Your responsibility is to develop and execute test scenarios and to troubleshoot the physical layer software and hardware in close cooperation with the Software Design colleagues, having the opportunity to lead a small team in this area. You will be working in an international team and your contributions will be an essential to secure the quality of Access SW of the LTE modem products delivered to our customers.
Your tasks Preparation of test specifications according to system requirements and 3GPP standard documentation Implementation and execution of Physical Layer test scenarios and test cases Error reporting and escalation of functional and performance issues Collaboration with Physical Layer SW and HW Design Team for root cause identification Usage of algorithm simulators as a reference for the test scenarios Following the evolution of the 3G
Der ideale Kandidat
Your qualification Minimum Master of Science or similar degree in relevant Telecommunication/Engineering field Experience in leading a small team in industry Good understanding of mobile protocol software, with focus on LTE Physical Layer. Knowledge of 3GPP LTE/UMTS/HSPA standards Previous experience in mobile SW testing and test case implementation using system simulators (e.g. R&S, Anite, Anritsu), signal generators and signal analyzers Experience with test execution and test case automation Programming in C/C++, Perl, Matlab and experiences in CM Tools (ClearCase) Fluent in written and spoken English Positive, open-minded and pro-active personality
