The position is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company strategy and for the flow of financial information internally within the German organisation, for group reporting and to relevant external parties such as tax authorities or financial institutions. The position's mission is to contribute to the attainment of the company’s objectives by monitoring and developing all necessary policies and procedures to ensure sound financial management and control of the company’s business.

This includes the following main responsibilities:

• Overall management and control of the company’s accounting function including all financial transactions and accounting matters.
• Develop and maintain all necessary systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the company including cash management, inventory control, product costing, asset management, insurance, company cars etc.
• Develop, present and control the company’s annual budget to ensure that all financial targets are met and financial and statutory regulations complied with.
• Managing company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, and equity, as appropriate.
• Ensuring that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met regarding all the company’s financial affairs.
• Contribute to the achievement of the company's business objectives by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy.
• Driving partnership with Senior Leaders through strong strategic and operational Finance and Accounting support.
• Oversee the preparation of the company's monthly and annual financial accounts to ensure that these are presented accurately on time, and as appropriate in accordance with local and US GAAP.
• Monitor external contracts and services provided by suppliers to ensure that these are operating effectively and provide the best value to the company.
• Lead the finance staff to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and developed and so that they carry out their responsibilities to the required standard.

The company is looking for a Finance professional with a good understanding of national and international financial and taxation concepts. The ideal candidate should bring some years of relevant work experience in a similar position and should also possess the following competencies and experiences:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in business administration or related field.
• Broad management reporting knowledge.
• Strategy experience and business acumen.
• Credibility in strategic discussions with senior management.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, an ability to build relationships and manage expectations at all levels as well as effectively communicating at very high levels.
• Confidence and competence in analyzing and presenting financial figures internally and externally to various audiences.
• Native command of German and very good command of the English language is required.
• Presence and a (pro-)active mindset with the ability to follow-through.
